The First National Bank is a locally owned, locally managed, independent financial institution chartered in 1906. First National’s home office is located in Allendale, IL and the bank has full-service branches located in Mt. Carmel and West Salem, Illinois. In 2018, the bank ended with an all-time high of assets of $231 million and record earnings that exceeded $2 million. A complete remodel of the West Salem facility will be completed by mid-2019. The bank employs 38 full-time and 7 part-time individuals.
